Are at home to Killanny on Wednesday evening at 8pm. We play Killeevan in the next round of the championship after the draw on Monday night. The other fixture is Seans v Currin with Fergal O’Hanlons receiving a bye.
This game got off to a very controversial start, when the referee saw fit to issue a Clones player with two yellow cards and a red within two minutes of the throw in. This had quite an unsettling effect on the the Clones team and led to a disappointing first half performance, Emyvale leading by 1-5 to 0-1 at the break. The second half saw a much improved display, with six different players getting on the scoreboard. The boys could only get within three points of the home team, however, and were unable to get the goal needed to equalize. Team and scorers: Damien McGorman, John Jenkins, Colin McGaughey, Danny Rooney, Michael Treanor (0-1), Darragh Holland, Eoin Kelly, John McDonald, Fintan Kelly, Mark Connolly (0-3), Darren Freeman, Jonathon Douglas (0-1), Declan McQuaid (0-1), Kieran Kierans, Adrian Alford (0-1). Subs: Patrick McCarville (0-1), Fergal Nugent.

The Under 12s battled hard in their shield final, but luck was not on their side. The boys faced a strong wind in the first half, after which Iniskeen had a comfortable lead. The Clones boys fought back bravely in the second half and could have been in contentention but a number of goal chances went narrowly wide, hit the post or rolled across the line.
Well done the boys boys on getting to the final and their great effort on the day. Thanks to Gerry and Declan for their work with the lads all year. Thanks also to the Lennard Arms for the lovely meal we all enjoyed afterwards.
