Clones 1-09 Latton 2-03
Clones played there 5th league game of the season away to Latton. In winter like conditions the Clones lads put in a magnificent display to record a very important win which helps keep them pushing for a top four league place.
The Clones team started the game and a blistering pace going a number of points in front midway through the first, as expected the pace of the game slowed due to the heavy ground. Clones led by pour points at half time but as expected the Latton team came out battling hard, to Clones’s credit they managed to weather the storm and in the final quarter lifted the performance again to record a 3-point win.
The Clones team played collectively very well in tough conditions to grind out this win.

Clones have a challenge match Wednesday evening at 6.30 in St. Tiarnach’s Park – The Home of Ulster Football!
Please come out and support.
Sunday, 10th May was a tremendous day at St. Tiarnachs Park. We were blessed with the weather that allowed most of the events to go ahead, and we were delighted with the support from the community. Proceedings started with the unveiling of the plaque by one of our elder members Dan Kerr after some reflections on the GAA by our secretary Ben Quinn. It was great to see former Chairpersons in attendence; Martina Holland, Mick Hannon, Gerry McMahon, Stan Kelly and Jimmy Connolly. Following this we had fun and craic with races for all ages including mammies and daddies, wellie throwing, penalty shoot-out. Puck fada, football skills and go games. There was a great display of photos and memorabilia from down the years to the present. The barbecue, face painting, and music provided a festival atmosphere throughout the day. Commemorative medals were given to all participants.
We wish to thank
